the bowl and its world
A bowl has a character you can hear: its key, its weight, the length of its sustain. That much we name plainly.
The soundscape is tuned to the same key. As a practice it gives the bowl a frame, and that frame is where using it becomes a practice. Real, added value, with nothing mystical about it.
One bowl can carry more than one world. You choose which. Same key, a different colour. Whether a different tuning shifts the character of the session is something we are still exploring.
measure your practice
This is where the practice becomes something you can see. As you play, somasonic reads your heart rate and heart-rate variability live, and shows your own system settling. The sound swells near six breaths a minute, the pace that lifts HRV, so it carries your breath while you watch the signal answer.
